Pattern of Worship

1st Sunday:  6.30 pm  Evening Service.  This is a united service and alternates between the Methodist Chapel and St Helens each month, with the service being held in the Chapel on odd months of the year and even months at St Helen's. Further details of Methodist services which are every Sunday evening at 6.30 pm can be found on the Methodist Chapel page.

2nd Sunday:  9.30 am Family Service.  This united family service is held at St Helen's and these joint services are again led on alternate months by Methodist and Anglican preachers.

3rd Sunday: No service.

4th Sunday:  9.30 am Family Communion.  This service is held in St Helen's on alternate odd months (January, March, May, July, September, November).

5th Sunday:  These services are held in one of the six churches of the group with the congregations meeting in one church for a joint service.  This moves each quarter.  See local notices and the Calendar on this website for further details.

Throughout the year, there are also a number of special services such as the Walk of Witness around the village on Good Friday, the United Maundy service held the previous evening.  In July we have an Open Air service and Songs of Praise in September, and our Carol Service in December.  Details of all these services can be found in the Calendar on this website.
