All Saints', Aughton

Aughton parish consists of the three villages of Aughton, Ellerton and Laytham, along with scattered communities such as Aughton Rudding and some isolated farms.

The XI century Norman church lies hidden away at the end of the village, across a field overlooking the Ings.  It is famed for its association with Robert Aske and the Pilgrimage of Grace.  A well supported concert and talk about him is held each year. All Saints welcomes groups of students and societies who visit the church.

A dedicated core of parishioners come to worship, care for the fabric of the building, raise funds and liaise with surrounding parishes and chapels for support with events and festivals.

Details of regular services and special events can be found in the Calendar.
